In the gender category for IMDB, it says to select your gender, but only supplies "male," and "female" as options. Male and female refer to sex, not to gender. Gender categories are "woman," "man," "non-binary," "gender fluid," "trans," and it is an ever-growing list. Sex is biologically defined, and gender is a social construct that is an internal sense of self, whether an individual sees themselves as a man or a woman, or another gender identity. Sex also includes intersex as an option beyond male and female. Since IMDB and Amazon tax stances on supporting LGBTQA+ communities, the gender option on their forms needs to be updated to be more inclusive.
