"f-rated" keywords are totally ridiculous and should be eliminated

f-rated Used for any title which is either directed by a woman, written by a woman, or features significant women on screen in their own righttriple-f-rated Used for any title which meets all three of the f-rated criteria: directed by a woman, written by a woman and features significant women on screen in their own right
Sorry, but I find the "f-rated" keywords absolutely ridiculous.

We already have the keyword "title-directed-by-female," many hundreds of which I corrected to this keyword in the past.

"features significant women on screen in their own right" is totally subjective.  Will this be applied to every Bette Davis movie?  Every Joan Crawford?  Susan Hayward?  Marilyn Monroe?  Shirley Temple?  Lassie?    (Oops!  The latter was meant to be a male, I think, although played bt a female.)  Ridiculous!

Also, to use the word "rated" is very devious.  "Ratings" of titles are already a part of the database.  Who determines this "rating"?  IMDb?

In all fairness and with any sense of logic whatsoever, what's next? "m-rated" for "male" films?  "t-rated: for transgender films?   "a-rated" for Asian films?  "c-rated" for Child films  "d-rated" for dog films?  Or, would that be for dinosaur films?  Etc., etc., etc.  Absurdism reigns at IMDb.

There are so many other "important" things that deserve IMDB's attention.  Please, open this up for contributor discussion, and you will soon see the dumbness of this decision.

The "f-rated" and "triple-f-rated" keywords should be completely deleted from the database.

Bigger news.  It could be repealed, if enough sane, reasonable people see its absurdity!  I love women, and want to encourage more participation by woman (I am one of the original members of N.O.W. and proudly went to the recent Women's March in Washington, D.C.), but the "f-rated" keyword is a political/sociological position that was apparently undertaken to appease a particular point-of-view.  Once again, keywords should be as objective as possible.

I am concerned about the possible extinction of bees. Perhaps we need a "b-rated" keyword.  (I am being facretious, of course, but so is the "f-rated" keyword.)

I think it should go as well, but the moment I saw these keywords along with the press coverage some weeks ago, I knew I'd never win that battle and gave in without a fight.
It is interesting though that the bechdel-test keyword hardly gets any attention.
