FitzPatrick Traveltalks

I am a fan of the FitzPatrick Traveltalks and have seen quite a few of them on Turner Classic Movies.  I use the Advanced Search and sort them by release date to keep track of the ones I've seen.  Recently, I noticed that the listing now only shows 230 "episodes," but it used to list 231.  It appears that "Rural Mexico" (1935) no longer appears on the list, although it can still be found on IMDB.  Does anyone have any information on what happened?

Rich: What exactly is the Advanced Search you are doing?

You could also just try going to James A. FitzPatrick's page at https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0280534/ and look through his Producer credits. As far as I can tell, the first Traveltalks he released were in 1930.

On a separate note, apparently FitzPatrick spent 1925 through 1929 producing shorts on musical topics, starting two years before the release of The Jazz Singer made sound film commercially viable. Can someone explain that to me?

Thanks for the comment.  I assume you are asking about the Advanced Search just for your own curiosity, since the question I posed addresses a data issue.  The Search formerly produced one result, but the same Search now produces a different result.  Something happened to change the data and now the "Rural Mexico" TravelTalk is omitted from the listing.

The search parameters are:  "https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?keywords=fitzpatrick-traveltalks&explore=keywords&ref_=tt_stry_kw"

I got it by googling "fitzpatrick traveltalks complete listing by season and episode"  Then, I requested the listing be sorted by "release date."

Rich: I believe the problem is that Rural Mexico doesn't have the exact keyword fitzpatrick-traveltalks.

It does have the keyword fitzpatrick-traveltalk-series. But apparently searching for the more common keyword does not bring up that equivalent.

If the search used to include Rural Mexico but no longer does, then the most likely cause of that would be that someone changed the keyword for that film, but possibly the problem might be more complicated than that.

I just now went to the page for Rural Mexico and submitted a correction to change the keyword to use fitzpatrick-traveltalks which should put it in line with the 230 other films in this series. Hopefully that will resolve the problem.

Thanks very much, gromit82.  I appreciate the logical deduction, and now I understand why you asked about the Advanced Search.  Just out of curiosity, are you a data processing professional?  Retired now, but I were one.
