Fake star ratings

A beautiful break up

Posting to report an incredibly egregious fake star rating.

Was sent a screener of this film and posted the review under the critics review, I honestly found it quite bad and said so. The production company reached out and asked if I could remove that review, which I found incredibly suspicious. My review was then removed for some reason, so I reposted it and monitored the page.

400+ 10 star reviews and multiple written and critic reviews popped up. All of which I've checked up on, most were AI and lazily added as promotion so I reported them seperatly (they have been removed). The star ratings however remain, and as I'm now on a mission to put this right by mentioning it here.

Hi ThatFKingGuy-

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We are aware that there are people who may vote for the sole purpose of trying to inflate/deflate the rating for a movie. We have several safeguards in place to automatically detect and defeat this type of ballot stuffing: even though we count and display all unaltered votes in the rating breakdown, we apply several countermeasures against all attempts to skew the rating for the weighted rating you see displayed on the site. We will review the title in question to ensure that the weighted average is displaying as intended.

For more information on our abuse detection methods, or details about IMDb ratings and weighted averages, please refer to our Ratings FAQ.

Cheers!

Thank you. Hopefully it can be fixed to count only the true reviews. As I said, it's stupidly top heavy to the point it's unrealistic, especially considering the amount of written reviews from genuine accounts.
