Solved

Evidence for an existing title has seemingly not been reviewed by the IMDb editor

Hello,

my submission 241221-084444-828000 has been rejected for lack of evidence, but I have given access to evidence and written a detailed text explaining how to access the evidence. According to my data, the editor didn't even log-in to see the evidence.

I would like to resubmit, but I fear that my submission will be rejected again without looking at the evidence and without giving any other reason that the lack of evidence.

Thank you for your help.

Hello MarvinFalz,

I have checked on the submission and the provided evidence is not enough for us to approve the Title, we are not allowed to sign in using the provided credentials. You can re submit the Title and provide screengrabs from the evidence you want to give us.

Remember that what we consider as good evidence is:

Third-party news articles

Online TV schedule

Link to title on online retailers

Mentions from reputable sources

Link to title on streaming platform

Trailer / behind the scenes video

Production stills

You can take a look at our Help Articles too for more help.

Hello Fran,

thank you for your answer. Would it be considered as evidence if I'd upload the whole EditRave world premiere of the movie to a file hosting service like Dropbox? Then you wouldn't have to sign in, but could see that the movie exists.

That could work, you can re submit the credit and add the new evidence for the team to take a look for you!

Cheers!

@Fran It did not work. The submission was rejected again and for the same reason, even though I posted a link to the movie/world premiere on Google Drive. No log-in needed. What I don't understand is why the movie/the world premiere itself is considered no evidende, but a mention on another website or production stills are considered evidence. I have even posted a time stamp to reduce the work load of the IMDb editor.

Can you please help me, as reading your Help Articles don't help me understand the reasoning of the IMDb editor.

Thank you,

Marvin Falz

The movie has high rank cast and crew and the evidence provided is not enough, we could not verify the movie and it is why we rejected the submission. You will need solid evidence to add the title as we mention in our Help Articles.
