Episodes to be placed within a season...

There are two episodes of the series "The Bill" stuck under "unknown season":

Kiss Off Part 1 - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1457672

Kiss Off Part 2 - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1457673

I've been gradually renumbering the season 16 episodes to make space for them, but as it took about 24-48 hours for each renumbering to go through, it was a laborious process. Now the renumberings don't appear to be being accepted at all.

To make this quicker, then the first of the two should be slotted in as 16.21 and the second as 16.22 - everything afterwards moved down two spaces to accommodate them.

Hi @MovieCat -

This were probably not accepted since there already are episodes 16.21 & 16.22. If they are duplicated submit  a title merge, if they are incorrect please renumber the rest before adding the numbers to the above.

Thanks!

@Bethanny Hi Bethanny, I've been gradually renumbering the S16 episodes two at a time to make space... but these updates are now no longer being actioned. I've waited over 48 hours for the last two.

@MovieCat I just moved 64 to 66 to see if it'll work and it did. Do you want me to help you out and try moving some more?

@VonPunk Well if you don't mind. As I said, I had put in the move requests, but they're taking several days, and now they're not being actioned at all.

@MovieCat No problem, I've submitted again and I'll keep going at it till either I get stopped also or it is done, I don't like to interfere in other people's projects so thanks for letting me help.

I don't usually encounter long waits for things like this so I reckon someone may have already moved them before to take those two 'unknown' episodes out the order which they shouldn't have, so altering the order again is requiring a data editors attention. But it looks like it'll take awhile so I'll report back any news on it, while leaving you free to do whatever's next on your list.

@VonPunk Thank you, it's strange because other TV shows have almost instant updates on such things, depending on the show. The Bill appears to have some late access issue.

@VonPunk On reflection it might have been that I'd accidentally submitted some twice, which usually holds them up in the queue, doesn't it?

They seem to be going through again now.

@MovieCat Shouldn't do, the 2nd submission should just be rejected as a duplicate while the first pends.

I'm getting two a day moved, it's taking 24 hours for each pair, should take about 3 weeks to get her done.

@VonPunk I think we might have overridden each other's work in that case, because I put some in too. :)

There are other series that I can change the numbers and get them actioned within 10m... as you say, it's going to take a long time with this one.

@MovieCat Shouldn't do, I only did one as a test after you said they were no longer being moved and started fully after you told me to take over changing the numbers. And even if you kept doing it after I started, whoever submitted 2nd would be rejected automatically as a duplicate submission.

As I explained the other day, the series order has likely been altered before to wrongly dump those two clip show episodes out of the order, so it being altered again is flagged as suspicious to be checked by a data editor, and that's why it likely taking so long, a staff member would have to confirm that but experience tells me that's the most likely reason.

If you want to pick it back up I'll stop. I've had moving 10 episodes (57-66) approved and have the next two pending. Let me know. :)

@VonPunk The odd thing is, while the episode renumbering is taking an unusually long amount of time, you may have noticed that I've been adding the odd episode title screenshot to that run of episodes.

The image submission for The Bill is one of the quickest I've known, they're up within just a few minutes.

@MovieCat I did actually think the images were growing but wasn't sure, guess I wasn't imagining it haha

Yeah it'll be the data type that's protected from previous changes engaging it, in this case the episode numbering, the rest of the page/data types is probably not affected.

I've had shows before where I can do absolutely anything immediately but the they'll be one aspect that's been messed with in past and it'll need 2 days and some hoop jumping to add to or alter it. Whether it be vandals or well meaning but misguided contributors, these things can make it harder for any one on right track to fix or add to.

@MovieCat No worries, it was my first two contributions of every day, but I'll be glad when it's done haha. I was going to ask if you wanted to submit the move for the two unknown episodes once the space is there for them, since it's your project, thought I'd ask if you wanted to do that finishing touch, still a couple of days to go.

@VonPunk That's really kind. It would give me a certain sense of satisfaction to complete it, but I couldn't have done it without your help.

@MovieCat Okay final two submitted, once they move, you are clear to finish it off. Good job on fixing it up and improving the page. Best of luck with the rest. :)
