Episode seasons mislisted — 39 seasons under Season 1 for The Bold and the Beautiful

On the episode guide for The Bold and the Beautiful (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092325/episodes?ref_=ext_shr), episodes from 39 separate seasons are all grouped under "Season 1." This forces scrolling through 9,000+ episodes and the page repeatedly kicks me out. This looks like a data/season mapping error and makes the episode guide unusable.

Please:

  • Move episodes into their correct season groupings.
  • Restore normal pagination/season navigation so users can select seasons rather than scrolling one long list.

Can't you just click "Years"?

I believe it's a conscious decision as mentioned in IMDb's guidelines. It may be outdated since CBS does mention a season number, which may not have been the case in the past.

No, unfortunately clicking years is not an option. And I’ve been watching the show since Season 1 - 39 seasons ago - and there have always been Season numbers. There are season numbers on every platform.

I’m kind of confused about why you are commenting and speculating.

@Peter_pbn Here is a photo. There is only one year listed 1987 - Season 1.  It’s incredibly frustrating to have to scroll through hundreds of episodes, so I hope they can fix it.

My comment leads you to give more information.

I see the year option on the page, so it's odd if you don't.

@Peter_pbn You're right about soap operas usually not having seasons according to IMDb: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/episode-guidelines/GDF7HR6CCCBKU3CP?ref_=helpms_helpart_inline#epnumbers

I checked and at least in 2025, The Bold and the Beautiful aired all year without interruption, so it seems we're still in season 1. I fail to see why it matters how CBS feels about this matter.

I couldn't see the image above until now. That seems to be the IMDb app, and I agree it's a problem that there is no year option there, or even an option to view the latest episodes.

@Minutelli Have you clicked on "Episode Guide" at the top of the page for The Bold and the Beautiful? That should lead to a page where you can search episodes by year, season and top rated episodes.

@Marco

Regarding the policy, the guidelines don't say that all soap operas can't have seasons, and they don't say anything about how a season is defined.

There was another recent thread about a series where IMDb preferred to list it as one season, though one of the points made was that the official season numbers in that case just followed the calendar year. That is not the case with The Bold and the Beautiful, where season 39 started on September 15, according to CBS.

@Peter_pbn I agree IMDb should define the term season. And upthread I said that soap operas "usually" don't have seasons so we're in agreement that some soap operas do have seasons (Dutch soap operas for example have seasons because they don't air for about 3 months in the summer).

But given the term "continious series" it's clear to me that The Bold and the Beautiful is, for IMDb purposes, currently in its first season. The fact that for CBS purposes the series is in its 39nd season shouldn't factor into it.

I think that it should at least be filed as an app problem that there is no year filter in the episode guide, which is particularly a problem when it's a long series listed as one season.
