Episode of TV series in UK is released as standalone TV movie in USA - how to list this in IMDB
Episode "All for Love" (1982) {Combat (#1.4)} tt1392752, 15 August 1982 (UK), was released on 28 February 1985 in USA as a standalone TV movie A Different Kind of Love tt0301198.
Both titles are listed in IMDB. Should they remain as two titles, with trivia links between them, or should A Different Kind of Love (TV) be renamed to "All for Love" (1982) {Combat (#1.4)} (merging with the existing one) again with trivia entries?
I started to add trivia and UK/US release dates info for A Different Kind of Love (*), assuming that I would merge it into "All for Love" (1982) {Combat (#1.4)} and then I wondered what the policy is.
(*) OK, I made a mistake with the UK date which I'll correct as soon as the wrong one has been published!

Hi martin_695862 -
If the content is the same, meaning there are no substantial differences between the episode and the film title, there should be one title page listing for the first release for the episode title, any subsequent releases can be mentioned under the Release Details section.
If the above is correct, then you can request to merge the titles through our online Update form. For information on how to make this request I encourage you to review our Help Guide.
Cheers!

It's problematic that episodes don't allow alternate titles in such a case.
