English version credits (dub credits)

I thought IMDB disallowed dubbing credits.

However, this title I saw has the English version director and casts along with the original language director and casts. (The title is non-english live-action TV series)

Is there an exception for English? I think it really confuses the users.

Is it possible to separate the dubbing credits or remove them?

I submitted a request for removal but was rejected and I don't understand why.

Hi @dreamcacao72,

Please can you provide a link to the title page you're referring to? Also, we can look into your declined submission by replying with the 18-digit submission reference.

Thanks!

Hi @dreamcacao72,

You are correct. As per our Credit Eligibility FAQ, we do not list credits for foreign language versions of a film (dubbing, dialogue editing, translations etc.), with the exception of the US dub of non-English animation.

I can see that the submission you've referenced above was declined because you attempted to add an ineligible name page for the director of the series. To resolve this issue, you can make a contribution to delete the dubbing credits. This can be done via editing either the episode page or the name page which has the ineligible credits.

I hope this helps!
