Duplicate Titles - Remove the Incorrect One

It seems as though the following films are both the same. It seems as though what was originally meant to be a feature, ultimately transformed into a short film. Maintain the CORRECT title. Delete the INCORRECT title. You can see that the same posters exist on both.

Incorrect: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3885690/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

They are different things, the movie is completely made up of shorts submitted by filmmakers online by adhering to storyline parameters.

The 6min long listing is just one of these shorts edited into the film which is on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5j_3IKHFoqQ

Some other shorts that make up the movie are listed in IMDb separately also.

Here is some info on the film: https://www.madsincinema.com/ted-bundy-had-a-son.html

Shane Ryan is still working on the full film version, it hasn't yet been released.
Hope this solves the problem. Have a good one.

@VonPunk thanks for your insight. According to IMDb, the film has been released, which you are saying is not the case. I can't find the full film anywhere. Additionally, according to their distributor's website, the film isn't listed in their catalog of distributed films.

I think they probably added that date tentatively and it turned to not be finished by then, there is a second date listed for a limited 2022 release.

I found an interview with Shane Ryan from 10 months ago talking about all the films he was currently actively working on and this was one of them, sounded like it was still in post production at that point and possibly being expanded into a trilogy, so that date could definitely be removed. If you make a submission for that you could always link to this forum thread in the explanation box.

I'll link the interview to help with that cause if you choose to do that. https://www.horrorsociety.com/2020/11/03/filmmaker-working-on-record-number-of-films-during-lockdown/?fbclid=IwAR00q5AIlBJTvc3ftfr7UZxnj8rckQfpoT4gIfU7L6Qbve-NC

All the best.

Thank you for your generosity, much appreciated. I have been trying to remove a credit from the film's IMDb, as the actor never filmed/worked on the project. I am 100% certain. Was hoping you can help with that.

Hi again. Hope you saw my reply in the other thread, sort of the only answer that'll work, I guess someone else called Ethan Levy could have been involved and its just a page mix up, he does have his photo posted about the internet so a comparison between him and the actor in the film would prove it is just mistaken identity but again the film has not yet seen release so no help there until it is.

The only other 2 idea's I have right now is to contact this Shane Ryan via his website and quiz him about the credit so he can correct it (as he holds the footage) or if you have 100% proof to go with your certainty that can be presented to IMDb right now, just make a submission to credit the part to a new page 'Ethan Levy (II)' with the proof in the evidence box.

On further thinking about the original topic, i think he added that 2019 release date as a work around so he could fill his credits out with added attributes, as we know IMDb will not accept attributes on unreleased titles.
I also spotted the other 2 parts of the trilogy on here

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8591654/

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8608294/

So it seems that part was true.

Sorry I couldn't be more help and advice is all I can give.

@VonPunk thank you so much for your assistance. Truly. I can assure you, there is no other Ethan Levy involved with this film. I recall now that this credit was added a few years back before anything was actually filmed. The role was then written out of the film, and he never actually worked on it. It needs to be completely removed. If you can assist with this, that would be great!

Wish I could but I have no evidence to present to them on that one, going to have to wait till the film is released I think.

Thing is, back on the old IMDb help forum, someone would turn up every week trying to have credits deleted saying they did not work on something only for staff or a contributor to prove that they did, so they just have a blanket policy of 'no proof, no deletion'. But I don't speak for IMDb staff so wait till they respond, I'm just talking from experience.
Time will sort this out I'm sure.

The release status should be changed, as well as the release date removed being that the film clearly hasn’t been. Something you can submit?

Edit: Additionally, if the film never sees the light of day, is this non-existent credit stuck on IMDb for good?

Judging by his IMDb history, i think there's a good chance it'll be released one just looks like he has his finger in many pies.

You'd be best contacting him here: MAD SIN CINEMA - Home

You can ask him anything you want to know even if it's possible to supply screenshots of the end credits if they are completed.

@VonPunk I did make the attempt to reach out. No response.
