Duplicate review entry

Hi there, I wrote a review of a movie (Love strikes twice) but didn't get the usual confirmation email, so an hour later I posted it again (had to rewrite the whole thing) and a few hours later I received the two emails for both submissions. Now the review shows twice both in my profile and in the movie's user reviews, one of them has an upvote and the other one doesn't so I assume they're two different entries in the database.

I know I can simply delete one but, considering that this is clearly the result of an error in the system, I don't know how the system will handle the deletion, possibly deleting both entries. 
So basically my question is: can I safely delete one without worrying that both will be removed?
