Duplicate event: Raindance Film Festival
Someone added Raindance Film Festival to events as errorneous (since years should not be mentioned) "Raindance Film Festival 2022". At the same time festival already has a page and year 2022 on it. Although it should be noted that "Raindance Film Festival 2022" has a more current official website of the festival, the two pages should most definitely be merged since, to best of my knowledge, Raindance is not splitting into two film festivals and is still a singular event.

Hi Nikolay - Thanks for reporting. I have now moved the award information to the correct event page and removed the duplicate listing. Cheers!

I was reporting duplicate event pages frequently last year, this is from one of my messages to them while reporting one: I don't know how you manage to create duplicate event pages like this all the time, it's not like it's something that can be contributed by users, event pages are created by your editors. Why don't they first check if something already has a page? Apparently they still don't check existing event pages before adding a new one. It should be a simple and standard procedure. I don't understand why they just add them without checking anything. Then they developed this canned response for such reports after several of my reports: Hi there, Thanks for bringing this to our attention. As the duplicated pages have award information, we would like to retain it. Unfortunately event merges cannot be performed. Please move the award information from x to y (ensure you're not duplicating awards). Kindly reply confirming that the above action has been done and we will remove the duplicated event pages for you. In this case, this process should be easy as duplicated page has only 2 entries.
