Dramaturge/dramaturg - Writing?

Some productions can have a ”dramaturge/dramaturg” credit, which, I believe, usually refers to screenplay (person who did some fine tuning to the script and consulted the writers, especially in movies/television - in theatre the job is probably a bit different/wider). This is a credit that is probably not very common outside Europe (perhaps the ”modern” version is now ”script editor” or similar, not fully sure).

So, does ”dramaturge/dramaturg” belong to the Writing-section? I have assumed that it does, but it would be nice to know for sure. Thanks.
