"Dr" vs. "Dr."
I've just submitted a cast list, and although the character name is credited "Dr" (without a period, not uncommon for a UK production) it was automatically corrected to "Dr.", with a message that it was "in accordance with IMDb rules" (though I could not find this rule when I clicked the help icon).
Is this a recent change? What about when it doesn't match the on-screen credits - should it still be "corrected" regardless?

Hi @tom_wake,
This was a recent update, and is documented in our Characters help guide. However, thank you for noting this guideline does not appear once the help icon is selected in the Contribution Form. This will be updated shortly.
Whilst our credits policy is for cast listings to reflect the on-screen credits, there are instances where formatting rules will override this. Other examples include capitalization and the removal of plurals in character names.
I hope this helps!
