Documentary Narration Credits Split between "Actress" and "Self"
I've narrated several documentaries (hired as an actor) and half of them appear under "Actress" and the other half under "Self." I am not a subject or interviewee of any of these documentaries, I'm simply the hired voice actor to narrate the action, so I think they should all be classified under Actress. How can I correct these so they all show in one place?

Hi mariapendo - In order for our staff to take a look, can you post the link to your IMDb name page? Thanks!

Hi mariapendo - Apologies for the delayed reply. I can see that the reason why these "Narrator" credits are listed under the "Self" section is because the titles are categorized as Documentary genre titles. You can prevent this by adding the "reenactment" keyword to a title via the Edit page button found at the bottom of the titles page on IMDb. Once approved, any credits for that title should move into the correct section. I hope this helps!

This ”is narrator acting, or being him/herself” pops up from time to time. So that’s one thing. If you use ”search”, you can find older threads about the subject. Michelle is talking about adding the keyword ”reenactment” which has a special meaning if the documentary, talk show etc has both ”acting” and ”Self” credits: reenactment Used for a Documentary so that actors portraying scripted people are not listed as 'Self' if they have a character name.
