Do imdb regularly check status of zombie listings?

Just esp. over last ten years, hundreds, maybe thousands of invariably American cheapies that have no evidence of release but are listed as thus e.g. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5105762/locations?ref_=tt_ql_dt_5. But google them and often theonly evidence as to their existence is their imdb page. And then when one tracks down crew, they'll tell you the film never got released. Surely, there could be a cull on these titles (although each film given a basic google search), and perhaps  a greater level of verification for future release info.
