Displaying the roman numerals associated with titles
When there are two or more films in the same year with the exact same title, IMDb distinguishes them with a roman numeral in the official IMDb title, with the year in parentheses being followed by a slash and the roman numeral.
However, those roman numerals are not displayed on the page for the film. If you are looking for a film titled The Return from 2016 and found yourself on the page at https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6100724/, there is nothing there that indicates that there are a number of other films also titled The Return from the same year, such as https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5591342/, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5311152/, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6394986/, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5618918/, and https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5967956/. This could make things confusing if someone wants to correct credits which have been submitted to the wrong film; one has to click "Edit page" just to find out what the official IMDb title is for any one of these films.
By contrast, when there are two or more people with the exact same name who have to be distinguished using roman numerals, IMDb does display the roman numeral on their name pages.
I would recommend that a similar method be used to display a roman numeral on the title page of any production that needs a roman numeral to distinguish it from other titles made in the same year.

The main title page used to include the roman numeral suffix, such as seen in 2013:
https://web.archive.org/web/20131115003359/https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0347246/reference/
and in 2017:
https://web.archive.org/web/20170405123219/http://www.imdb.com:80/title/tt0347246/reference
But not in 2020:
https://web.archive.org/web/20201205182613/https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0347246/reference
Or currently (2024)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0347246/reference/
If you go to the edit page, you *can* see the roman numeral suffix:
https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/edit?ref_=tttr_cn_edt&edit=legacy%2Ftitle%2Ftt0347246%2F
But that's an extra click. It would be more helpful if the suffix was still on the main title page.
