Hi IMDb Community and Staff,

I would like to add the onscreen credits that me and my team received (for Knuckles: The Flames of Disaster) to the episode listing on IMDb.

I have worded the credits exactly as they are on the onscreen credits, and would love to understand what I need to do so that it’s not declined as “Badly Formatted”.

Happy to provide more information!

Many thanks in advance for any guidance people can provide!

Hi @iestynevans,

Thank you for your problem report.

I can confirm your credit additions were declined as "badly formatted" as they were submitted to the wrong department. These credits need to be added to the Additional Crew department as per the on-screen credits and IMDb guidelines. Please re-submit to this department via the Contribution Form and these credits should have no issues being approved.

I hope this helps!

Hi Ozzy,

Thank you for getting back to me so swiftly.

I understand that “Puppeteer” is usually listed as “Additional Crew”, and whilst this is being contested, I do appreciate this is currently the case.

In the instance of the Fire Demon sequence in “Flames of Disaster”, it’s in the style of a “high school musical” performance within the episode. As such, we are all actors playing the role of “Puppeteers” within the story, and appear ourselves on screen as “Fire Demon Puppeteers”. I can submit screen shots from the episode to verify this, along with our on screen credit.

For this reason, I do believe that Cast is the correct department for these credits.

I hope this helps clarify the situation. Let me know how best to proceed!

Many thanks!

Iestyn

Hi @iestynevans,

Thank you for your additional information. However, we have verified that these credits do not appear in the cast section of the on-screen credits and as per our policy, they must be listed in the Additional Crew section of the episode page's credits. Please see our Help article:

We list only acting roles in the Cast section of a film, so other types of performances need to be added under the proper data section. For example: voice-overs, looping, ADR work, stand-ins, photo doubles and puppeteers belong to Additional Crew; stunt performers and stunt doubles belong to the Stunts section, etc.

Cheers!
