Difficulties to merge two titles

Hi, I noticed that there were two IMDB pages for the same movie, « The Snapper » (1993) directed by Stephen Frears:

https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0108170/

https://m.imdb.com/title/tt13466230/

These two titles should be merged, the correct one being « https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0108170/ ».

I usually know how to merge titles, changing the name of the wrong one to get the name of the correct one. But the name of the correct one is here complicate to find, as it is an episode included in the BBC TV show « Screen Two ». I tried but I did not find how to spell it correctly. And as it is a delicate operation, I would prefer IMDB does it.

Can you please do it ?

Note: On the wrong page, there is a budget of « 1 euro » indicated for this program, which is impossible. I tried to delete it, but my contribution was rejected (https://contribute.imdb.com/contribution/210428-115912-492000/). Can you also remove it to avoid having this information on the merged IMDB page?

Here is the correct/target page:

Here is the page to merge/cancel:

Hi mompart -

Apologies fro the delay, thanks for all the additional information.  The duplicate standalone title has now been merged into the correct "Screen Two" episode title listing, the changes should be live on the site shortly.

Cheers!

But you kept all the bad data that's mentioned on this topic a few times by the OP and me.

Both cast and crew already had "verified as complete" mark on the correct Screen Two title page.

Now the bad data is mixed with that "verified as complete" data and it makes it almost impossible for any user to remove with usual submission process.

OP here already stated a failed attempt.

Hi Fixer, the priority was to merge the titles. Once the merger was done, I checked today all the cast and other information, before making contributions to delete wrong data. Hope they will be accepted by IMDb. Tell me if you see things I missed in these contributions here after:

This is the new title you need to enter: "Screen Two" (1985) {The Snapper (#9.10)}

Btw, not only budget is bogus, release date is false with a bad attribute too. Obviously they were filled randomly to just to get submit button activated.

So careless, adding casting director to the Director section, adding actors to wrong name page (Deirdre O'Brien), incomplete character names etc..

So, it’s better to only trust information provided in the target page: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0108170/

Thank you « fixer ». I used the title you gave as a target title for both these pages. It’s the contribution https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/update?load=210429-180825-736000

Let’s wait and see how IMDB will handle it

Hi, I made my contribution 5 days ago to merge the two titles, but nothing happened. Can someone from IMDb please help me?

Hi mompart -

To clarify the issue, was the title "The Snapper" first released as a standalone film, then later aired as an episode under the "Screen Two" series banner?

Hi Michelle, it was originally a tv film for the BBC anthology « Screen two » and then, it was released on cinemas. So, the page to keep is the one from BBC (https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0108170/). There are also mistakes on the other page, as « fixer » user and I noticed. For instance, on the page to remove, there is a budget of 1 euro indicated and it should be deleted (impossible to produce a movie for 1 euro). It would be better to completely delete the other page and only move the reviews and ratings on the main page (and not the other information)

« Fixer » noticed release date was also false for instance on the page to delete (you can look at his comment here above). He also saw other things. That is why this duplicated page is to cancel and you should not move its information

In order to be fully transparent, here is an evidence it was first made for BBC: >>> http://collections-search.bfi.org.uk/web/Details/ChoiceFilmWorks/150404475 <<<. It’s written there «  Originally made for the BBC’s Screen Two strand »

Hi Michelle, is everything clear or do you need additional information to merge the two titles?

Can IMDB please do something? I noticed that people still rate both IMDb pages and that the titles have not yet been merged despite my request:
