I submitted this film as a 1944 release, but I didn't have the exact release date, so it was decided that the film is from 2021, long after the filmmaker died, because I was able to provide the date the film was released on DVD. It was a Christmas greeting film from 1944 and says so on the print, but that doesn't equate to a release date..

The composer website linked on the title page calls it a "Richard Lyford home movie". Is there any reason to think that it was released to the public when it was made? If not, it may be misleading to add an earlier release date.

Edited: IMDb may be able to change the title year without adding a release date, but according to this reply it wouldn't be done:
