delete a credit

I have tried multiple times to delete a credit from my page. I keep receiving the same automated response "it is our policy not to alter or delete any kind of correct/factual information or credit from our records," with no actual reference to anything I have said.

Essentially, I was in a University group who made a doco which I edited for class. At the end of Semester they decided they wanted to take it further and I did not. They went out and re-filmed all of the footage that had been rushed for the deadline plus a new interview, pretty much all the footage is new. They had someone new come in and completely re-edit the film from scratch. It is now a completely different film, a version I had absolutely nothing to do with. They initially left my name in the credits as well as adding in the new editor, then they added it to IMDB without my knowledge. Since then they realised their mistake - it is not fair to the new editor to share credit with someone who had no input into the work and it is also not fair to me to attach my name to work that is not my own. 

They have removed my name from the credits now that they are submitting the work into festivals. 

So essentially I did not do the work and I am no longer in the credits. 

I have tried to explain multiple times that the credit needs to also be removed from the IMDB page. In my last email I asked if they could make reference directly to something I have written in my email so I can see that they are actually reading it but I got the same automated response. The producer of the film (who had been the one to add it to IMDB) has also emailed multiple time to try to get it removed but got the same response. I am not in the official credits of the film and I did not edit the film so I don't think it is "correct/factual information" for it to stay on my page?
