Declined update on a documentary about the 'QE2'

Dear Sir/Madam

   I have recently been creating, adding and updating details on several documentaries about the 'QE2' (Queen Elizabeth 2) cruise liner of the 'Cunard' company. Several of my entries regarding 'Keywords' have been declined with the same keywords accepted for another documentary.

13 November 2022
#221113-170557-773000  -  The QE2 Dubai: World's Most Luxurious Hotel (2020-2022)

Declined (3)
qe2 - other
liner - other
cunard - other

However another entry regarding 'Keywords' have all been accepted
12 November 2022
#221112-171255-021000 - QE2: The World's Greatest Cruise Ship (2018-2018)

I would be grateful if you could please remedy this situation.
Thank You
R. West

I made the following changes and additions to the keywords on that title, plus I added "ocean-cruise" and "travel." Please note that all of these are plot keywords, not "other" keywords.

Hi @Britrick_c21 -

From what I see it would be better to user some other keywords that already exist on the page, such as a queen-elizabeth-ii instead of qe2 or cunard-cruise-line instead of cunard. This is just my point of view but I know there is a user that can probably help, @keyword_expert what are your insights in this? I'm open to anyone else's opinion and explanation of what keywords would be better if you want to participate too, I know there are more users here that are great with keywords :)

Thanks!

Just a note: the ship used the name "Queen Elizabeth 2" with the arabic numeral 2, not the roman numeral II. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_Elizabeth_2#/media/File:Osaka_RMS_Queen_Elizabeth2_06bs.jpg where this can be seen.

The keyword should be something like "queen-elizabeth-2-the-ocean-liner" rather than "queen-elizabeth-ii-the-ocean-liner".

(If I were choosing the keyword on my own it might have been something like "queen-elizabeth-2-ship" instead of "...-the-ocean-liner", but that's a different matter.)

@gromit82

I agree, and of course you are correct.

Feel like manually editing that keyword? There are only half a dozen instances of it. I would support you doing so if you'd like.

Thank You all for your help in making sure my contributions are true and correct.

Just one further question, along with your additions, will the Keyword 'QE2' be added as this is the name that the 'Queen Elizabeth 2' cruise ship is most commanly and affectionately known as, by its many fans and especially the British public.

@Britrick_c21

Acronyms and initialisms are disfavored as keywords on IMDb, for several reasons: they are too informal, they may not be recognized by many people, and in many cases they can be vague (like if a particular acronym can be used for multiple things).

With that said, sometimes people put acronyms and initialisms at the beginnings of keywords, which helps people find titles if they search only by the acronym or initialism.  For example, there is an existing keyword for fbi-federal-bureau-of-investigation (1566 titles)

Here, the existing keyword "queen-elizabeth-ii-the-ocean-liner" could be converted (on all titles) to something like "qe2-queen-elizabeth-2-ship."

What would you think of that approach?
