Declined submission - False Duplicate / Pending Review loop
I am writing to provide feedback and request assistance regarding a submission that was declined for the second time with the reason: "The item you have submitted is exactly the same as a submission that you or another user have already entered, which is still pending review by our staff."
I guess this might be an automation problem.
The most efficient approach would be for the reviewer to handle the update immediately clearing the pending queue so the correct data can be published.
Simply rejecting the update under the guise of a duplicate—without actually resolving the issue on the live page—creates a loop that prevents from keeping the page accurate. And it doesn't provide any real explanation about the rejection, if there is actually a reason for that.
Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Thank you for posting the reference! Further reviewing, the reason why this submission was rejected 260702-232522-303000 and marked as a duplicate is because that person is already listed on the site under 'Directors' for that title.
If you try to submit the same addition of a person that is already listed on the site or for example, you add the same contribution while there was already a previous contribution that has not been processed is when you will automatically get a rejection for duplication.
If you need to make change to the credit or other data which is already live, you then will need to submit a 'Correction' instead of an addition.
When submitting as well, it is recommended to wait until the contribution has been fully processed in order for you to make a change if need be. Please note as well, that depending on several factors submissions migth take longer to be processed as some might not be processed immediately as opposed to others.
