Declined Film Review. Why?

I have written 176 IMDb reviews and do not recall ever being declined before my recent review of the film "Hannah Arendt", which was rejected and not published.  Although this film bore the name of the famous 20th century philosopher, the film was NOT a biography of Ms. Arendt but rather focused on a specific historical incident which inspired her iconic "banality of evil" philosophical concept. The movie was NOT about her entire life but rather about a specific incident, the trial of Nazi Adolph Eichmann, and how that single event influenced her view of totalitarianism.  It would have been impossible to review this very important film without seriously considering her viewpoint of the rise of Nazism during World War II in Europe.  I would like to know why IMDb declined my review.  This would help me in the future and would save time and effort as, unlike other reviewers, I spend quite a bit of time researching and writing my IMDb reviews and receive no compensation in return.

You may want to post either your 18-digit reference number, and/or your user url so that IMDb staff may look into this.

The second decline was ref. #201209-031334-083904. As I mention to Karen below, my second attempt tried to stay more with the film rather than the history, but in a case like this I found it very difficult to review the film without considering the event that triggered the entire story, which was the Eichmann trial of 1961, as well as the history behind it.  The film really focused on Arendt, the woman and the philosopher, how she developed her concept of the "banality of evil", and how she was vilified by so many intellectuals in the 1960's because of her view of at least some (not all) of the rise of Nazism in Europe, a very complex and compelling subject.

Who is Gavin Tyler.  My original post on the topic of "declined film reviews" was written by me, but it appears to have been written by Gavin Tyler. I don't get it.

Hi Karen.  It appears that Gavin Tyler joined the community on the day that he parroted my post. Maybe he doesn't understand how it works or how to post his own comment or views.  It's the Internet, so anything is possible.  Thanks for the response.  Happy holidays!  Frank W.
