Declined corrections

In item #250925-004858-385000, the reason for declining a correction is "Your contribution has been declined. We did not capture a specific reason during processing." The correction (a) added 5 links [IMDb Guidelines, Goofs, D. Style Guide, 1. Hyperlinks states: "If you mention a person or a title (movie, TV series / episode) that is also listed on IMDb, YOU MUST USE (emphasis added) the [link=title number or person number] to automatically create a hyperlink to the relevant page."] and (b) changed a past tense verb to present tense [IMDb Guidelines, Goofs, D. Style Guide, 2. Style & Grammar, 2nd bullet states: "Do write all submissions in the PRESENT TENSE" (emphasis added)]. So could a "specific reason" now be captured to justify the declination?

Hi critterc74 - I have resubmitted the Trivia correction on your behalf and it has now been approved. The changes should be live on the site shortly. Cheers!

OK - here's another one; for Quick Change, item #250927-043359-199000. I got the typical "Your contribution has been declined. Please review our submission guidelines." I have reviewed the submission guidelines, and he thing that really irks me is that I quote the applicable guideline that justifies my correction. (By the way, the Guidelines really need a good editing and some updating.) Thanks, Bob

The submission contains information about the guideline, which is not allowed, you can re submit correctly the modification without including the guideline in the Text for correction.

I did not realize the guidance is not allowed within the item. I've been doing this for quite some time and wish I'd known it earlier. Is this stated anywhere in the IMDb Guidelines? If so, I must have missed reading that section. Thank you; I'll be careful in the future.
