Solved

Death date declined (8/4)

I tried to incorporate the death date of a scientist who studied elephants but it had been declined. The evidence I provided came from a Wikipedia article which had cited its sources (there are also other pages online describing his death).

Hi TheKingOfFrogs -

The issue with the evidence provided was that you included a screen grab of the Wikipedia page, ideally, our editors would need to verify the information from the direct sources (which we couldn't access via the Wikipedia screen shot).

I have now resubmitted the death date on your behalf and it has been approved.  The data should be live on the site shortly.

Cheers!

@Michelle Thank you. I do apologize for not doing that. Would it have been better if I linked the article that it had cited? When I made that submission, I assumed that since the person did have some notability, it wouldn't have been out of the ordinary to use the Wikipedia page. I'll be more cautious about this in the future!

Hi @TheKingOfFrogs -

No worries, but yes, for future submissions, it will be better to include the direct link of the Wikipedia page and the source links.

Hope this helps!
