DCP (Digital Cinema Package) master, which category?

Hi.

In some productions there's a person(s) who's coding the DCP (Digital Cinema Package) master/package of the film. Which category credits such as "dcp", "dcp mastering" "dcp package" etc goes? It seems that some are in Editorial Department, and some in Misc.

More info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Cinema_Package

( Note: I know very little of a DCP process, so bare with me if I used the wrong expressions. )

Thanks.

Hi @eboy -

I have made the consultation of the proper category for this position to our policy team. Will get back to you as soon as I have an official reply.

Cheers!

@Bethanny I provide DCP mastering to films and need to enter all my credits but there is no place for it so as IMDB Pro member it would be great to have this very important role correctly added. There are not a lot of us that to professionally but it's a critical function.

Hi @eboy & @stephenv2 -

To clarify, this credit will only be eligible if the work was done on the original title.  If the credit is eligible, it  should be listed under "Additional Crew".

I hope this helps!

@Michelle So it will not be added as a specific position? It's a key post production role in films post 2010.

@stephenv2 Hi, if it's added in the future credits can be moved, as for now there is no category specifically for that so it must be listed under additional crew.

Thanks!
