Davy Crockett: King of the Wild Frontier is archive footage

I know this will be an easy question for some, Ed, so forgive those of us, me, for which it's not.
I know that this "movie" came from 3 disney ep's, but it seems weird for everyone's credits to be listed as archive. Is this captured correctly? Seems like there's a different way this should be captured.

Yeah, that's how IMDb always lists the cast in movies edited from TV episodes. Other examples:

Mission Impossible Versus the Mob (1969)
To Trap a Spy (1964)
Conquest of the Earth (1980)

That's also how they handle serials edited into feature-length movies:

Peril from the Planet Mongo (1966)

out of curiosity, does it apply in the reverse as well? a movie that is broken up into tv episodes. can't think of an example, but sure there is one.

Mike: Not counting anthology-type series, I can think of one good example off hand. Superman and the Mole-Men (1951) was edited into two episodes of the "Adventures of Superman" TV series, "The Unknown People: Part I" and "The Unknown People: Part II". And on those episodes, the cast members' credits are indeed listed as (archive footage).

So based on the above, the movie should have its credited updated with archive footage right?

comes from two tv episodes
"Two episodes of "Daniel Boone", i.e. The High Cumberland, Parts I & II, edited into a feature film version for European theatrical release. "

Are you asking if the crew should be given the archive footage attribute? I don't think that's the case. Does anyone know?

never thought about crew, just cast. I'd imagine that crew could/should be different cuz someone had to splice it together.

J. just my five cents on the crew in case: usually whoever is credited, regardless whether he worked on archive footage or something made specifically for the film is listed. Most of the cases when archive footage was just re-used won't merit the credit, however in extreme cases in which most of what was edited was, for example, directed by another person that might be the case as seen with Pavel Klushantsev on Roger Corman's reworked version of his Planeta bur (1962): Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet (1965) and Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women (1968).

13 out of 14 were approved but one was declined. Can someone tell me why an editor would deny 1 and let the other 13 go thru unmolested?  Makes no sense. Either they're all right or all wrong. Explain it to me Lucy.
