Dancers as "additional crew" ???

I'm trying to add a screen credited dancer on the listing for Kiss of the Spider Woman, and I'm learning that IMDB will only list them as "uncredited" or "additional crew." This misrepresents their contribution to a movie musical. How can we go about changing this criteria?

Thank you. Please let me know how this fares. Hopefully dancers will be able get their deserved recognition on this site moving forward.

I just attempted to update the credit again, with the following note: The dancers in this MOVIE MUSICAL are an integral and vital contribution to this film, and part of the cast. They are credited with the cast, grouped as Dancers. They are also NOT crew members. Please give them all the accurate recognition they deserve. I can also provide video evidence of the credits as well as this still. [link to still of credits onscreen] ”

I notice this has been marked as "solved." It has not been solved. The entry has still been denied.

Hi CMartin, In order for us to look into this further for you, please could you provide us with your most recent submission reference for adding these credits. You will find this in your Contribution History: https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/history. Thanks!

Hi CMartin, We've cross-checked the on-screen credits, and I can confirm that the dancers and singers are directly credited beneath the cast, and therefore are in the same end-credit section. Therefore, these credits can be added to the Cast department on IMDb. We're currently in the process of adding these credits to the title, and they should be live shortly. I hope this helps!

For reference, this guideline appears in the cast guidelines: "Dancers, singers, and chorus members (e.g, Wicked cast & crew) These can be listed as cast, only if they appear in the main cast section in the on-screen credits. If dancers, singers, or chorus members are credited separately from the main cast but appear on-screen, they should be listed as Additional Crew (...)" https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/cast-acting-credits-guidelines/GH3JZC74FVYKKFMD?ref_=helpms_helpart_inline#eligibility Perhaps it can be subject to interpretation what exactly "in the main cast section" means. I believe the guideline was added after this discussion last year: https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/data-issues-policy-discussions/hi-i-am-trying-to-add-my-daughter-to-cast-of-new-wicked-film-it-keeps-getting-declined/6749a7a168091146fb94d9ac Ozzy said, "there are very rarely exceptions made, but this is where the e.g. dancers, chorus, extras are immediately credited below the cast section in the end-credits, and not separated by a significant amount of crew members." Such exceptions apparently did not make it into the guideline, but I quote it here in case it is relevant to your case. smcgann14 also criticized a similar cast rejection: https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/data-issues-policy-discussions/sinners-2025-additional-cast/68801091c24cdb3021876259
