Could use a tool for submitting large amounts of updates quickly

Came across a TV series with an entire season's episode names and cast scrambled or duplicated. I suspect other seasons may also need correction. It's an older series and I doubt anyone else cares, but it would be good, imo, to have it correct before it gets mothballed. It would be nice to be able to submit an entire table to overwrite the incorrect records with pictures of the dvd cases for confirmation.

Hi @kcary, Before I take this idea to the relevant team, I would love to get your thoughts on how this tool could work. For example, would you want to submit the table of information in an Excel spreadsheet? Or would you prefer to enter the data into a Web based form? Would it be useful if the tool copied data from the most recent episode into the form as a starting point, allowing you to edit it before submission, or would that just complicate the process? Let us know if you can think of any other specific requirements you would like to see in this tool? The more detail you can provide the easier it will be for our tech teams to assess what is feasible. Thanks, Mark

For cases like this, most platforms don’t support bulk overwrites from a user-submitted table due to data integrity and moderation concerns. The usual approach is to submit individual edits or use a structured contribution or report tool if the platform offers one, attaching authoritative sources like DVD case photos for verification. If large-scale corrections are needed, it’s often best to contact the site’s editorial or support team directly and explain the scope of the issue, as they may be able to apply bulk fixes internally. This helps ensure accuracy while avoiding accidental or unverified mass changes.
