Correcting an acting credit that is incorrectly listed in the "Self" category
A client of mine played a role in the main cast of a series listed on IMDb, and she's included in the cast list on the series' IMDb page.
However, on her personal IMDb page, the role is incorrectly included in the "Self" category, even though the name of her character is visible. I tried correcting it using the normal method of correcting acting credits, but there's no option to correct a credit being misplaced in the wrong category. I've never seen this particular issue on IMDb before. Any idea how I can fix it or find a direct contact to address it?
Many thanks..

Jordan: This situation sometimes happens when a title has a genre or keyword which causes cast members to be presumptively classified in the "Self" section instead of "Actor" or "Actress".
There is a way to get past that and have your client moved to the "Actress" section, which I will explain.
First, though, please confirm whether this really is a mostly nonfiction title where most of the cast (albeit not your client) should be listed in the Self section. If so, then submit the keyword reenactment to the title. When a title has the keyword reenactment, IMDb will list any cast members with a character name that does not begin with "Self" as Actors or Actresses, rather than in the Self section.
(It doesn't make a difference whether or not your client was reenacting anything that actually happened. Reenactment is a specialized keyword used by IMDb for this particular purpose. See https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/keywords/GXQ22G5Y72TH8MJ5#special where this is explained.)
However, if this was a fiction program where pretty much everyone was playing an acting role rather than themselves, please check the genres or keywords to see if there is something there which is causing the cast to be assigned to the Self genre incorrectly, such as the Documentary genre or the keywords "non-fiction" or "tv-special". (Note that on IMDb, "tv-specials" are presumed to be nonfiction.) If so, it may be better to delete that genre or keyword if it is inappropriate rather than adding a "reenactment" keyword.
If you aren't sure which of these options to follow, please provide a link to the title so the contributors here can give you an opinion.
Good luck!
