Correct vs. delete

Deletions that are rejected because you would have preferred the credits to be moved is a common issue here. It could use a better treatment in help pages.

This text on Evidence for deletions could reference the possibility that credits should be moved and not deleted:

Deletion requests rejected as Unable to verify, mean our data editors believe the information is factual and as such shouldn't be removed.

If you believe the information is inaccurate and should be removed, please re-submit your deletion request and try to include as much of an explanation as you can, and they will review the request for you.

Same for I tried to delete data, but it still appears on IMDb. Why? which says, "If you notice an error or omission in our data, please submit a correction or deletion."

The page How do I correct credits? does show how to move credits, but also refers to a FAQ item which says, "If the credit is wrong, and should be removed from the name or title page - you can submit a deletion via the same interface, simply choose 'delete instead of 'correct'."
