Correct Job Department
Can anyone give advice / reason on the following :-
Example :- Job description - Story Editor
As at 27JUL2022 I find as follows :-
Editorial Department - 944
Editors - 35
Script and Continuity Department - 1733
Writers - 40
Additional Crew - 41033
So this is the deal - which department is ACTUALLY the correct one in terms of IMDB requirements ?. I can understand anything with story and editor ending up in a script, editing or writing department, and yet the majority are in Additional Crew ? Is this correct ? Are story editors so little thought of, that they are lumped into the biggest department ? Is there a search engine anywhere on IMDB where one can go and type in - say - media coordinator and get the correct department?

Hi, Raynor:
Actually, IMDb guidelines are quite clear regarding story editors:

To expound a little on what ljdoncel said, story editors were (somewhat) recently approved for the writing department. A lot of older shows still have story editors in additional crew. I move them out when I see them there.
