Contributions banned for life?

My most recent review was declined, though it's difficult to say why. No specific reason was given, only a link to IMDb's user guidelines which I truly believe I did not violate. There seems to be separate, unpublished IMDb acceptance code. Either I crossed an invisible line, or IMDb is free to reject contributions out of hand, just because. My earlier reviews have been accepted and posted, so I shrugged it off until my rejected submission was referenced in a later image contribution for a different film. The image was rejected, citing the film where my review was considered "unacceptable."

"Your data referred to another item which has been declined or deleted," IMDb writes, "and this means your data will not appear on the site." I'm baffled. The image submission made no reference to that other film. Does this mean that a reviewer or algorithm has blacklisted and banned me from posting subsequent contributions?
