Contribution Rapid Publish

We are pleased to announce the release of Rapid Publishing for contribution.  With this release, if you notice an issue with a recent contribution (such as a typo, incorrect statement etc.) you can now update that item as soon as it’s visible on the site.  Previously, there was a delay between items being visible on the site and the ability to correct them.  This delay (sometimes up to 1-2 days) was a consistent source of confusion and frustration.  As IMDb replaces parts of our older systems with new modern maintainable software (please see Upcoming changes to several IMDb features for more details), we are now able to rapidly publish content across all platforms, removing a past limitation due our older systems.  This work coupled with our recent improvements in vetting time, ensures IMDb is correct and up to date with the most accurate source of information as soon as its available.

Thanks,
Nic

so this only applies to stuff added recently? not changes made to something you found and fixed that may have been around for a while?

No, it applies to all data whether live for 10 minutes or 27 years.

maybe you should reword the announcement then, people assume "recent contribution" means titles added recently or changes made recently.

I love this change. I stumbled upon a few days (maybe a week ago).

The one thing I wish we had though (that would cut down on my typos!) is a preview of what the page will look like before you submit the data.

Just when I thought processing of contributions couldn't be faster :)
