Confusion around TV series release dates
Hi,
I would love some clarification on the rules regarding TV series release dates. According to IMDb's own rules the release date for a parent show should be derived from the first episode and shouldn't be set for the parent show itself (https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/release-dates/GVUUDEPJNAW6G35P?ref_=helpms_helpart_inline#)
However, I tried to submit a correction for https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11137618/releaseinfo?ref_=tt_ql_dt_2 which has a release date there which isn't following this rule.
I made a submission to delete the incorrect date citing this rule as a reason but this was declined.
Could somebody shed some light on this.
Thanks!

Such series dates are usually added as part of the title submission, where release dates are often required, so I wouldn't say they were wrongly added.
The date in question is not listed on the first episode. If you wanted to move it to the episode level, you could do so by choosing Correct instead of Delete and then selecting the episode in the episode field.
Note that others have asked for this particular series listing to be removed:
