Concerning UK Documentary Series "Origin"

So I've stumbled across this documentary series on YouTube, but there is precious little information about it outside of the YouTube channel that hosts the videos. There are over 600 videos on the channel, with runtimes ranging from about 20-60 minutes. The documentaries are all related to parenting, family issues, and/or disabilities, often of a sensationalized nature. The YouTube channel has little to say in the way of explanation, but claims to feature "content produced for major TV stations in the UK and US including TLC, ITV, Channel 4 and the BBC." Yet, I can't find any independent sources to verify this claim. The series does not appear to exist on IMDb. It doesn't help that many of the episodes are lacking in cast & crew credits of any kind.

Does anyone have any information about the series? If one were to try to add it to IMDb, how would one go about doing so with so little information?

Well it's not an actual series, it's a Youtube channel full of compiled TV content with 'Origin' logo's added to it.

For example, this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c04iZpmjhYU

Is this episode: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2945766/

So most, if not all of it is already on IMDb already, so no need to add it to the site.

Hope that helps.

Hi @majfoalbkeopaza -

From what I can tell, and as @VonPunk mentioned, "Origin" appears to be an online channel featuring individual videos.  As per our title formatting guidelines, under "Online Channel":

Online channels should be listed in the way that best represents the content. If the channel is made up of a combination of individual videos and ongoing features please add the titles as standalone videos and separate TV series following the above guidelines in order to accurately reflect the running order of each feature and display clearly on a name page i.e. Anthony Padilla . On the occasions where the channel is made up of purely episodic content with no separate features then it may make the most sense to list the entire channel as a TV series. If you are unsure then please add the titles as individual standalone videos and separate TV series.

If the title you mentioned, "Raising a Child with Selective Mutism | My Child Won't Talk" is not yet listed on the site, you can submit this as a standalone video title.

I cannot answer your question about licensing or the legality of Origin streaming content from their channel, it seems they are hosting these videos on their platform since they have branded them with their logo.

I've submitted "My Child Won't Talk" as a new title. Thanks to everyone who answered my questions and helped find information about the film.
