Clannad: After Story and Clannad should be combined

Here is some proof I have!

1. Clannad and Clannad: After Story are both adapting the same novel (visual novel). One is adapting the first half and the other adapts the later half of the story. This is not a case like Steins; Gate and Steins; Gate 0 where it adapts separate novels and is a spin-off

2. It is usually called Clannad After Story (Season 2) and here is the proof. https://www.amazon.com/Clannad-After-Story-Season-Blu-ray/dp/B007V2LN92 Here in the DVD set it is also marketed as "Second season." In streaming services it is frequently called season 2. 3. A final point would be that for japanese shows it is not advertised as much of a "season" (especially with older shows) and more of a "Continuation" or "Next Part" etc. Following this when making the next season it was just named Clannad; After Story instead of the more American route of Clannad Season 2.

Thank you! I don't know if this is done normally during a merger but try to merge the ratings? Since the second season is considerably higher rated than the first I believe the ratings for it should affect the overall series

I know it is late, but a friend has noticed that the description for the series and the storyline for the series are both for the second season.

"A sequel to the anime based on the recently concluded Key Clannad franchise. After Story is a new path that opens in the original visual novel after all other options have been traversed."

Please keep the storyline and description with the original Clannad Season 1 description as to first of all not spoil the second season and secondly it makes no sense to call the singular series described as a sequel
