Chris Rock declined quote

Greetings,

my submission 220408-194254-934000, was declined and the real life quote is the joke "Jada, I love ya. "G.I. Jane 2", can't wait to see it, alright?", I'm assuming it declined because it can be perceived as malicious but another joke he made at a different year at another Academy Awards was "Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna's panties. I wasn't invited." Feb, 2016, was approved even though it has a sexual context was approved? And this video is my source for the declined quote:

can someone in the imdb staff elaborate why one joke that was sexual in nature was approved and the supposedly malicious joke was declined?

Hi assmn108 -

Your quote was likely declined because it was not a personal quote made by Mr. Rock, but rather a scripted joke for the event.

While we allow improvised comedic quotes from unscripted shows, if the show is scripted (as is the case with The Oscars), we wouldn't allow it to be listed.

I hope this helps clarify!

These type of stand-up jokes/rosts are now included to ”Quotes”?
