Character name correction does not meet the guidlines?

I've been trying to correct a character name in the National Treasure: Edge of History series. But the first time they were rejected on a basis that the name can't be proven, even though I cited the episode it was revealed in. And second time it "Did not meet contribution guidelines." apparently.

The current full name "Ethan Chow" comes from a closed caption of a youtube video (https://youtu.be/E5ErNsn-rcc?t=93). The correct name should be "Ethan Chao" according to the series itself.

I won't be trying to correct it anymore if IMDB is content on displaying incorrect data. Adding the Images here from the episode where the name is revealed as proof, that apparently wasn't enough or can't be proven.

Hello KillerZ,

In order to approve and modify a character name, you need to include and provide a screengrab from the on screen credits, with the person and character name that you want to modify. I encourage you to take a look at our Modifying and providing Evidence help guide.

@Fran Then how did the lastname "Chow" ended up there? The main cast is not credited in the end-credits at all, only Guest and Co-star are. The main actors are shown during the intro, but without character names.

In that case, based on the onscreen credits, there is no character name for the person that you are trying to modify, which is the reason why our editors rejected the modifications. We list our credits on the page, based on the on screen credits.

@Fran So , because someone somehow managed to add incorrect info, the info can't be corrected. Got it.

We list the credit as it shows on the onscreen credits. Do you have a screengrab for the credit? so we can verify how it shows on screen?

There isn't one. As I mentioned the endcredits do not show main cast, And intro credit is this.

I know you have to follow the rules and it can't be fixed. I just get bothered by wrong information, but that is a me problem. I'll just wait maybe someone else can fix it someday.
