Changing release year on my movie

I've tried twice changing the release year on my movie. It's credited as 2020, but it was never released that year because of the pandemic, and it just festered in the archive. Now, it's close to completion, we've got a full cut, I'm doing post work on it and readying it for a 2027 rollout. I'm not going to get very far with that rollout if people see the release year credited as 2020. Please, can someone help?
