Changed Poster Got Approved, But Wasn't Changed

I'm trying to change a poster for a friend's film, The Best of Me (2024), because they recently had a name change and wanted to use an updated version of the poster with the new name. While the request was approved, the old poster has still been up for a long while.

Furthermore, why is it when I'm changing names for my trans friends or for myself, that it won't allow me to remove the (as [original name]) in the credits. I understand if the movie has already come out, but it won't allow me to do it even when the film is still unreleased. The actual film credits will say their updated name, but IMBD won't?

Hi @robinjacobson20 -

I reviewed the title page photo gallery and am seeing two images (a sill frame and a poster).  Currently the poster image is displaying as the primary image on the title page.  Is the horizontal image also a poster?

Concerning your last question, with an active IMDbPro membership and a claimed name page you can manage the display of any alternate names.  For more information I encourage you to review our Help Guide.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

Hi @Michelle, the new poster I submitted is not either of the photos in the photo gallery. In fact, it's not showing up anywhere on the IMDb page at all. I have confirmation that it was added, but it's just not showing up. When I tried again, it wouldn't allow me because it says the new image was already on the page... even tough it's not.

About the name change, I am aware of this, but that is not the issue I was discussing above. The issue is that IMDb does not allow the (as [original name]) to be deleted. I'm just wondering why?

Thank you.

Hi @robinjacobson20 -

In order for our staff to take a look, can you post the 18-digit submission reference number associated with the image submission?

Concerning the name attributes, if I understand, you are wanting to remove the "as" attribute altogether, is that right?  If this is the case, even if an alternate name is hidden we won't remove the attribute as we need to preserve the information that a different name was credited on-screen for the role.
