Change event name Madrid

From 2025, the Madrid LGBT Film Festival, formerly LesGaiCineMad (https://www.imdb.com/es-es/event/ev0005184/2024/1/), changed its name to "QueerCineMad, Festival internacional de Cine LGBTIAQ+ de Madrid" (www.queercinemad.com https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/QueerCineMad ). Can anyone help us to change the name of the event? Also I'm not sure how I can start adding the list of the 2025 edition awards.

The changes that you want to apply is not allowed. We only apply changes to spelling errors or minor changes adding additional context.

Then, to preserve the historical information around the event and allow for appropriate event searching we will not change the event text in these cases. You are free to submit a New Event.

Hi Fran,Thanks for your reply and explanation, but I've seen that this kind of changes have been done in the past with other events. The change from LesGai-CineMad (meaning Lesbians and Gays) to Queer-CineMad is an update that the new times called for, as it is more inclusive and international. It is still the same festival, and we do not believe there should be two different events on IMDb.com referring to the same event, since it is the same one with a slight change of name. Please, reconsider this and let me know what you think.

As Fran explained, this event name will remain as it is listed since our aim is to keep the historical information of the event. If the event recently changed it's name, a new event page will have to be requested for it.

We do change the names of the events, however, if they have had a longer time with their first-established name and then it was recently changed, we will list the event with a new page and the new name.
