Cast Credit Submission Declined Despite Evidence being Provided

Hi, folks. Very new to all of this, I've tried twice to add a cast credit. Both were declined for failing to meet contribution guidelines. After the first result, I was much more careful to read the guidelines thoroughly. I did my best to provide multiple items in lieu of evidence on the second submission. I'm at a loss, not sure what to do in order to comply. The only thing I can think of is that the Title is a TV series and episode attribution might be required. But the show is pre-release; there isn't any episode data yet. Would really appreciate any assistance. Not sure if this helps, but the id for the most recent contribution attempt is #250509-151245-297000. Thank you.

Hello cmcinroy, I have checked the submission and you have submitted incorrectly. Since this is a TV Series you are submitting to, you have to add the credit to the episode that you will be credited. The submission that was rejected because it was submitted to the main TV Series page. You can re submit to the episode anytime, you can find instructions and help in our Help Articles: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/how-do-i-add-an-episodic-credit/GRRHUZAQPQV4T2F9?ref_=helpsrall#

Ok. Thank you for your response. The episode information isn't public yet, though, since the series has not been released yet. Somehow other cast credits were added in the absence of episode data or information about episode attribution. The evidence that I provided clearly shows the cast member and character name. Just wondering how I can comply with the episode requirement given the pre-release nature of the title. Thank you.

Oh. I see there is a skeleton of an entry for episode 1 for the title. Should I submit a cast credit for that episode? in order to have it appear in the cast list on the main title page? And if so, should I provide the same evidence that accompanied the prior submission? Thanks. EDIT: Ep. 1 says "It looks like we don't have any cast for this title yet". :/

According to our guidelines: If the episode(s) you worked on are NOT present in the database, you will need to add them as new episodes first. Go to the main title page for the television show, and select "add new episode". If you will be credited on episode 1, you can add the credit using the same provided evidence.

Ok, understood. Appreciate your response. How is it then that the other cast credits exist for that title with no episode attribution? None of them exist for any episode, they are all associated with the title. EDIT: Just to be clear, I won't be adding episodes for this title in advance of its release, so adding a cast credit in the context of an episode will not be an option in this case. Is there an alternate approach for adding cast credit that actors/actresses - or their representation - use?

As the Help guide mentions, the credit can be submitted when the episodes are live on the site.

That doesn't explain how the existing cast credits were added. That would indicate an alternate approach, so I'll pursue that.

Ok, trying again, per your advice. Appreciate your assistance (and patience).
