Can't get a credit removed

I'm trying to get a credit removed for a project I was never involved in. Support emails tell me that they will not remove it because "they believe in the information to be true." Not really sure where to go from here.  For context, when I google search my name, the credit is the first thing that pops up, and the film title is inappropriate.  Can anyone help with this?

Hi @seethenbuild8 - Can we have the link to your name page and what credit it is that you want to remove? Thanks!

@Bethanny  Hi Bethanny,  The link to the credit is here, and my name is Adam R.  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15790800/?ref_=nm_knf_c_1 Thank you for looking into this.

@Ozzy  Ozzy can you provide me your evidence that the credit is accurate?  I even reached out to the owner of the film to request a credit removal and he was denied. I was not a part of this film. This is harmful to my reputation and is causing me stress. And I’m not sure why this it’s so difficult to get IMDb to remove a credit that benefits nobody, and harms me.

Hi @seethenbuild8, We have verified this credit is accurate by verifying the on-screen credits for the title, which has in fact been referenced below. Regarding your requests to remove this credit and as mentioned in our previous reply, it is our policy not to alter or delete any kind of correct/factual information or credit from our records.

@Ozzy  The problem with this, is that the film maker was mistaken. I was never involved with this project. The film maker himself has reached out to imdb saying such.  Is there a remedy to this? I'm the person in the credit, and I'm telling you that I wasn't part of this film, and that I would like the credit removed. How does that not take precedent over a screenshot? I would really appreciate the removal of my name from this credit.  Thank you.

@Jimmi1996  Yep, the credit is wrong. I was in the film maker's class back in college and he confused me with someone else.  I was able to find the video on youtube, and it looks like some classroom project made over the weekend with 12 views. And now the mistaken credit shows up as a top result when googling my name, and has a detrimental effect on my professional career and personal life. It's pretty ridiculous that IMDB is taking such a hard stance on something like this.

Contact Google and ask them to remove that result from the search. https://support.google.com/websearch/troubleshooter/3111061

@VonPunk  It doesn't look like my request would fall under any of those guidelines, but appreciate the heads up.

@Fran  Fran, the credit from the film on youtube has been removed as it was done by mistake over a decade ago. I would now like to request to remove the false credit from iMDB. Thank you.
