Cancel contribution

In the email sent after submitting a contribution, it might be a good idea to have a link to cancel the contribution.

I submitted one recently and afterward realized that the plot hole wasn't solid, and I found away around it.

I tried to cancel it, but found no way to do so.

Hi, digitalbeachbum. What is the 18-digit reference number of the pertinent submission? Also, please bear in mind that IMDb defines "plot hole" according to the presence of clear contradiction within a story, not automatically every confusing thing in the story that simply happens not to be explained very well throughout the course of the story. In the context of movies, there are rare cases where the editing process botches elements of the story, due to entire scenes or mere shots being cut, thus creating gaps that would not exist in the script corresponding to the movie.

When Jabba captures the group in his palace, it is because he sets a trap. Leia frees Han, but Jabba is apparently quiet behind a simple curtain with everyone. Suddenly, everyone in the palace is awake and behind Leia (continuity) behind another curtain, including Bobba Fett. So I'm supposed to believe that everyone was in on it? So this was a planned trap? Without consideration for handing Luke over to The Empire? Why would Jabba want his "prize possession" released from the carbon freezing?

That's an interesting thought. If the item winds up approved, then changing the type of it from "plot hole" to "accidentally regarded as goof" may be a fine course of action.

I was thinking about adjusting it, changing the wording. The entire scene is a mess to me and its strange because I've watched that movie over a hundred times.

I just noticed last night that there are two curtains drawn and she releases Han. The first curtain opens and there is Jabba, C3PO, some band members, dancers, that little imp. Then behind them, another curtain opens and you see the rest of the bunch, including Bobba Fett.

My problem with the entire scene is 1) he releases Han from carnonite even though he says it is prized possession (and decides to toss them in to a Sarlacc). 2) that he let Leia do what she was doing 3) that everyone was able to hide behind those curtains with out making a single sound? 4) Why Bobba Fett, knowing that Luke was coming, not negotiate with Jabba to return Luke to Darth, which Bobba Fett already knows from the previous movie that they are looking for Luke.

I know some of this is plausible, but there are continuity issues and plot holes from my point of view.

digitalbeachbum,

This is an Idea thread, where you proposed a nice potential improvement for contributions.

I don't think the staff who fix problems read Idea threads.

If you want a staffer to deal with your specific contribution, you have some choices:

1) Edit the original post to change it from Idea to Problem,

2) post your problem on a new thread, or

3) use the Contact form to request help with your contribution

digitalbeachbum,

Did you upvote your own idea?

It will show the top arrow as green if you have, like this:

I don't think it automatically votes for the author.
