Can we use JPGs of old Movie Posters for our Annoncements on Facebook or Twitter for a free public showing?

We Plan to publicly show some Old movies from 1948 for free. Can we use some of the old Posters in IMDB for some Advertisement of the Movie?

This would be in Germany.
