Can iMDB please fix the ratings glitch for the 2012 movie 'The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure?

Can iMDB please fix the ratings glitch for the 2012 movie 'The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure? Only roughly 2100 voters have voted for it yet there's almost 12,000 10 votes. Obviously a glitch or a bug.

From the main page for The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure : Ratings: 7.2/10 from 13,516 users

Where did you see the 2200 voters?

It's true, there are well over 13k votes. And why do you type it as iMDB when it is clearly IMDb and always has been?

IMDb. My mistake...humans do that from time to time. Or are you one of those perfect humans that can never do any wrong?

@brett, while I am indeed perfect, I must admit that this particular comment was in jest

Just add up the Male and Female or Us/Non US or All age groups. It doesn't add up at all. Only 2100 or so actual voters are accounted for. Yet there's almost 13,000 unaccounted for?

You can say that again.

You can choose not to give male/female, country of residence, etc. Then if you rate a film, while the ratings will be added, it won't display your info in the demographic section (because the system does not know).

It's still hard to believe that there would be so many voters unaccounted for. Would someone be creating fake accounts to inflate the number? I suppose a filmmaker might try to do so, which would explain why the users have incomplete profiles, as it would take a great deal more effort than required.

With a heavy number of 10's with no demographic data, it looks like ballot stuffing. The weighting accounts for that somewhat...but not sure how. It looks like some weighting has ignored some of those to have a 7 plus combined score. Or normally, yeah, it should be a lot closer. You're right that something went on there. But iMDB (just had to spell it like that to see if the other dude has a stroke over it) can't really guess that it's ballot stuffing and I am not sure how their system works (they won't tell).

I just checked a few other movies, and the numbers didn't quite add up on them either; though, not anywhere near as off as these. Perhaps there are users who iMdb doesn't have complete demographic breakdowns for.

Just following up here to confirm that the information bluesmanSF provided is accurate, some users don't provide demographic information so we don't know their gender and therefore can't place these ratings into a male/female category.

If there is any suspicious votes, rest assured that our system already detects and defeats attempts to stuff the ballot and skew the rating.

I understand that. But off by 11,000?? And the US/Non US vote count is off by about the same.

Think you guys got duped. There's no way almost 12000 voters gave it a 10 out of barely 13,000. I think it's annoying and kind of makes the site less reputable or dependable for honest reviews when obvious ballot-stuffing or bot voting took place. I like IMDb, but this makes me think less of the site. You guys figured out The Interview debacle, why not this movie?

Nice to know that similar (if not the same glitch) exists for the movie's IMDb page as well as the Bottom 100 list.

Even though there may be fake votes displayed on the page, that doesn't mean they all affect the weighted rating equally. In particular, the rating used for the Top/Bottom lists only counts "regular voters".

So?  Why aren't fake votes thrown out altogether?
