Can choreography be separated as its own category?
Hello Col Needham and the staff of IMDB,
I understand that IMDB.com is a free online database that shares production information to mainstream consumers. Is there a criteria or outline that IMDB.com uses to create categories for CREW? Do you have to be unionized?
It would be helpful to understand why certain departments get specific recognition and others don't.
IDEA - Can Choreography be separated from Other Crew?
I understand, it must be challenging to define every dept. on IMDB, yet when I look at the most comparable company IBDB.com (Internet Broadway Data Base) they seem to understand the value of choreography in their database. Which brings up the question - Why hasn't Choreography deserved its own category on IMDB.com?
Choreography is a crafted art form that has a great impact on the final product such as Direction, Acting, Music Composition, Costuming, etc.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
