Birthdates Are Declined Even If They are From Reliable Sources
I try to include as many birthdate information as possible for them to be on people's IMDB page using information from reliable sources but the staff don't accept almost all of them, even if the actor/actress reveals the true information on their social media, they are declined here. I have decided not to continue contributing here because after a certain point, it seems ridiculous. I spend (or should I say used to) a considerable amount of time contributing not to see them wasted in one click. For your information, I never cite wikipedia as a reliable source. I even tried to change the wrong birthdate information on some people, they are not even accepted.

I would consider this a big deal in cases whereby incorrect information is already present on the site, whereas the problem of filing voids is mere inconvenience. The ideal form of evidence is government-certified photographic identification, a far cry from mere claims made by celebrities, publicists, journalists, reporters, bloggers and encyclopedians, who may not have a reputation of using reliable sources themselves, and who generally cannot get into trouble with the law for making false statements to the public.
So, jabrenner, you mentioned, "I even tried to change the wrong birthdate information on some people, they are not even accepted." Would you be so kind as to please name these people or at least share here the 18-digit reference numbers of the declined submissions to "correct" their respective dates of births? Thank you for your feedback but I even witnessed you approved the information obtained from a page on some people but you did not approve on others even when the information is from the same source material with a high chance of being true, this says a lot about your credibility I must say, especially if the person is from the USA you seem to ignore the information but accept if he/she is from elsewhere most of the time. You sometimes happen to decline even from the most trusted sources (of course barring the bloggers and encyclopedians etc. here) and I am appalled by this like I copied and pasted the wikipedia page etc.
As for the wrong birthdate information, for example Phyllis Smith (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0809613/), her birthdate is wrong and she even confirmed this absurdity if you check her personal quotes, she said: ''IMDB's not the most accurate. Even my birth place and my age are wrong there.'' Therefore, like I said I will not continue to change or add the ''right'' information on IMDB from now on as it seems like a wasted time. I feel like I should have stopped long time ago.
